Today kp index is 6 and you might be able to see northern light even in Helsinki (of course if you get further from the city).

We’ve used this resource when I used to work as a snowmobile guide in Rovaniemi and it has proven to be quite accurate. Hope you’ll get a chance to see one tonight!
