As if church bells weren’t annoying enough already.
That mosque looks cool as fuck
That’s just wrong.
But in the future. Germany will likely become more of a Muslim country rather than a Christian country. If we’re looking at migration and birth rates.
Sad. But reality.
Terrible idea.
I’m proud of my home place.
This is freedom of religion, Art. 4 I GG.
As churchbells may ring, this also is possible. Also no one has the right to be free of visible/hearable practice of religion.
As someone who grew up jolted awake to excruciatingly loud morning adhans, this sounds like a terrible idea. I never have and never will understand why religious people need a broadcasted reminder to pray – if you care that much, you’d find a way to remind yourself, one would think? (And yes, this also applies to church bells before someone obnoxiously points that out).
As a musician I always found the adhan more endearing than church bells. Personally, I wouldn’t mind. Freedom of religion should allow this anyway.
I searched but I couldn’t find any example of a place in the world that allows both. So perhabs this would set an example. On the other hand, there’s so much noise already with the church bells, this would create a cacophony. I think the adhan should be limited where it’s allowed.
And to be completely frank I think many muslims are a very, very vocal about their religion to start with, where it should be nobody else’s business what you believe. If I remember correctly there’s even a line in the quran about this, but I can’t remember if that’s true. So the adhan rubs me the wrong way to begin with. Still, I wouldn’t be openly against it, just a little suspicious of the idea.

Should’ve banned minarets like we did years ago
It’s simply a case of equal rights for everyone. Atheists are now allowed to shout once per week that there is no god, too:

For context, I consider myself agnostic.
