  1. Ah reminds me of the time I was unemployed. I checked the site from VDAB every day and sent my CV to firms pretty much every day. My dad got mad at me since I wasn’t looking for a job since I didn’t print my CV and bring it in person. Times have changed old man.

  2. When I bought a house last year, and I had to place an offer, my father told me to go a little bit under the asked price.

In a city. In 2020. In the Netherlands. Buying a normal house 😂😂

  3. Anyone with a summary for non Dutch speakers? Can’t really copy paste that one on deepl. :-/

    Edit: thanks!

  4. I recently had a discussion with a FB user who thought it was incorrect that they removed one of the (nude) art pics he posted. When I tried explaining that it was their platform and he had agreed to their terms … that escalated quickly 😀

  5. Alsook het gretig antwoorden op vragen zoals “Wat was de naam van je eerste huisdier?” op facebook. Kwestie dat hackers meteen één van de reset vragen van hun gmail account hebben.

  6. I still don’t know how the world works and I’m far from being young. We are all just trying.

    Avocados are expensive!

Got a job at least four times in the last 15 years by literally doing exactly that; printing my resume and showing up to multiple companies/businesses.

Digital illiteracy is a thing. These people were forced to adapt technology we grew up with. Same people that fall for the tech support scam call or press the link in a random SMS text claiming to have a bpost parcel for them.

  7. “Youths don’t know how the world works”

More like youths have caught on to the fact that “the world” has become bigger than our hometown.
