  1. Vote with your feet – I’m buying so much less stuff recently purely because it simply doesn’t represent value for money.

We went shopping the other day to pick up a few bits for a one-off meal, and on checking out I realised it was just crap value. We put the stuff back and got takeaway from a local independent instead – it cost about the same, and I’d much rather given them some cash than the supermarket.

I know it’s hard to change habits, and it can feel like cutting your nose off to spite your face, but it’s essentially the only move a consumer can make.

  2. Galaxy can do what they want, their choclate is crap and 50% full of sweaty palm oil. It’s horrible nasty stuff so called ‘chocolate’. Any chocolate advertising smoothness just means they are replacing cocao butter with palm oil.

  3. I haven’t bought galaxy for years. It takes disgusting these days, same with Cadburys. Milka all the way for me, absolutely delicious and not too expensive

  4. Just stop buying their products.. Stop allowing yourself the opportunity to get roasted like under priced peanuts. Boycotts actually work when done correctly….. These people who are complicit in this practice are just greedy financial parasites. I mean this, coupled with the higher pricing is an absolute liberty and an utter disgrace.. 😤 They genuinely need their heads looked at by professionals, pure parasites man. Again, boycotts work when used correctly.. Something really needs to give here, they will just keep doing exactly this and it won’t end with food either..

We really need start moving more collectively and be open to start making short term sacrifices for long term gains, for the betterment of our country.. These people that are calling the shots are CLEARLY the wrong folk for the job with regards to things like this.. People before profits should be the motto moving forward, enough of the greed. Do your bit, however small, to protest bullshit like this, enough people do it together, it’ll make a difference, it just takes time.

  5. Anyone noticed if crisps got smaller yet? They’re my Achilles heel.

  6. Just had Jaffa Cakes the other day and realised they have gotten a lot smaller as well. Galazy chocolate was always shit though I never bothered with it unless someone got it for me already. Cadburys has gone to shit as well, Green and Blacks is where it’s at but it’s just a bit expensive.

  7. Shrinkflation is the worst supervillain so far, the MCU are really scraping the barrel.

  8. I noticed that a few years ago in Tesco, **ALL** the choc. bars were getting smaller.

I now buy my chocolate online these days and all of it comes from the EU. My favourite is from a small French company! You can taste the difference, it costs more, but I use a lot less as it’s more satisfying.
