EDIT: Actually, it’s more likely a booby trap, so Labour get blamed for cancelling them at the point where the decimated tories are aiming to get re-elected. What a fucking shitshow our political system is.

The Navy is on the bones of its arse for workforce as it is. We haven’t managed to plug the gaps caused by bringing two massive carriers into service and moving people around, so how the entire fuck are we going to crew up another 19 ships as we currently stand? Also mix into that steaming mess that there’s an embarrassing shortage of accommodation everywhere for the dwindling numbers we currently have. This has been fed up from all levels for years, and something needed to be done about a decade ago, before signing off an entire extra flotilla.
