I don’t think they are aware of BDSM community. You can not only consent to that, you can even enjoy it.
It should be illegal or very heavily regulated. It’s disgusting that so much of it centre’s around abusing women and violence against them. This article doesn’t even include other issues like revenge porn and underage performers.Violence has no place in sex or it shouldn’t in civilised society.

When I was in puberty in the early 90’s there were no internet porn and we were supposed to have a class on puberty in the 6th grade. However, the teacher said someone had gotten into a fight and as collective punishment there would be no sex/puberty education for any of us. So the subject were simply skipped. I ended up learning about sex the normal way in the 1990’s Norway, through erotic magazines we found in the woods or under highway bridges.
1. Young recently turned adult girl wants to make “easy/quick money”
2. Becomes porn star, signs whatever papers the producer gives
3. Gets abused and basically tortured on camera, but it was all in the fine print so she can’t do anything about it
4. Gets paid a check after the scene
5. After a few months/years, she gets “too old” or “too boring” and stops getting as much work and then her personal life goes to hell
6. Process repeats again and again with new girl who recently became an adult
Could argue on what is on the new article. But , the study is way more that what the article say or clickbait to think.
