I have an old cheap second hand bicycle that I use mainly to go to the station or city center and recently I lost its key. It has one those old type wheel locks which opens with flat keys like [this](https://www.swier.nl/product/fietssleutel-oud-model-41s-t-m-56s-2/)

I know it’s easy to open with any spare key but no ō e that I know of have these anymore. The nearest cycle shop asked for 50 EUR to open it. I bought the damn cycle for 60 EUR and have come to like it.

Is there any place I can buy the spare keys for such locks? Any leads would be appreciated. Thank you.

  1. Maybe a place like Velo in Leuven? They repair a lot of old bicycles, so might have a variety of old keys too.

Of course, you would need to be able to prove the bicycle was yours I guess, that can sometimes be difficult if you bought it second-hand.

Alternatively, just cut off the old lock and install a new one, that should be cheaper than 50 euros.
