I know you all think Dublin is the roughest place in the planet right now, but I remember in the early 90s you couldn’t walk through the area these kids are from, and reports on the radio of cars being barricaded and bricked upon trying to drive through it.
Dublin is *far* better than it used to be, Sheriff St looked like something from post war Dresden. Now lots of professionals live around the corner from the place and you can walk through it no problem. Yes I know there were a few high profile attacks around there in recent years but it is like a different world to how it was.
I went to school with people who would have only been about 6 years older than them from the area and they’re all doing ok now, so things improved and are hopefully still improving.
