It’s a really bad game of “pass the parcel” in which where the government had supported businesses during COVID which meant that they had to taken on less debt and had money to grow. Conversely, the government took on the debt and recoupment it from high taxes.
All in all, the GDP may have gone up but the overall wealth has gone down.
Would it have anything to do with the skewed ‘investment’ in energy firms and supermarkets the entire population has recently been forced to provide?
Also since Brexit given that Brexit happened in the same January.
