So, I use [smartvote](https://www.smartvote.ch) to determine who of the candidates is best aligned with my ideas.

Now, for Ständerat that’s pretty straight forward. But what about Nationalrat? I mean, obviously there’s one party that hast the most matches with my political views but in the end all the best matches are a colorful mixture of multiple parties/lists.

What would be more advisable now:

1. Fill out an entirely custom list with all my best matches
2. Send-in the party’s list that has the most matches

If I chose option 1 will I end up giving votes to a party I didn’t really intend to as a whole while taking away from a party that aligns more with me?

How do you guys handle this?

  1. I go by no two with “Kumulieren” and “Panachieren”; first the party needs the seats before the candidate can win one. But if you cross out all other candidates anyway you can start with a custom list..
