RACIST ATTACK IN SOUTH CYPRUS!
A boy who has a Turkish Cypriot father and Greek Cypriot mother was attacked at his school in South Cyprus due to him being half Turkish.

The original post on Twitter seems to have misunderstood “ξύλο” (“wood” which is figurative and implies beating) as “σκύλος” (“dog”). The former is a common “chant” when dumb middle school kids want a fight to break out.
The attack is obviously racist and deplorable, but honestly are we going to start a diplomatic incident over a bunch of 12-14 year-olds? And the comments on r/Turkey are about as stupid as you’d expect.
The name of the father seems greek to me.
It was Stelios Antoniou or something

Propaganda on a whole nother level
As others have said the incident seems to be one involving children bullying another classmate for being a “pussy” and then shouting “fight, fight, fight” when they started fighting. The X profile is clearly a propaganda tool for Turkey.. I do not claim that racism doesn’t exist but this video is irrelevant to Cyprus-Turkey animosity..
