Musk responded that he doubted the German public supported the actions of non-government organisations taking asylum seekers from unseaworthy vessels in the Mediterranean. He also claimed it was “surely” a violation of Italy’s sovereignty for German-operated ships to take rescued migrants to Italian territory.
“So you’re actually proud of it. Interesting,” he wrote to the Foreign Office, adding that he thought such maritime operations had “invasion vibes”.”

Not happy with the ministry’s response at all.
If it’s about saving lives, then the German NGOs should be bringing them here as directly as possible, not forcing them into crowded Italian refugee camps and betting on them being redistributed to other EU countries.
As a german. Elon musk is 100% correct about this. We don’t want more refugees from countries that in the past have been the origin to some of the most violent immigrants that gang raped women in public etc.
If you look at some of those countries, they have an insane high rate of murder and rape and yeah with almost all of the “refugees” being adult males those habits don’t just disappear, once they arrive in Germany.
And I would add that this was not the entire government (which btw. is currently far from a majority if we would have an election right now), but the foreign ministry run by the green party.
Germany is destroying Europe once again.

It is funny how people become funboys of these rich people because they say momentarily something they agree with. If the EU and Germany were doing one favour after the other to Musk his tone would be the exact opposite, but people can’t understand that stuff these days.
Beside his sensationalism technically speaking he’s firmly on point. Financing ongs’ ships that basically discharge thousands of migrants in a foreign country is a huge violation of International laws and treaties. Those who claim they are just saving lives clearly don’t have a point of what is really happening in Africa.
