Row erupts over €1.4m paid to social welfare office managers

  1. Meanwhile, a further €476,000 was paid to 44 separate welfare branch managers in 2022 for the processing of Public Services Card applications and registrations and for the allocation of PPS numbers.

    The 56 social welfare offices dotted around Ireland are run on a private contract basis, with their managers not officially employed by the State.

  2. I’d like to hear why Forsa would agree to this. This must have arisen in industrial relations committees.
