I sincerely hope and believe Ukraine will win before this. It can happen if Ukraine receives the support it needs- and faster!
War is expensive business. Russia took a few economic gambles, including controlling prices of fuel to Europe, manipulating the grain market and seizing the resource rich areas in the east of Ukraine.
Putin was no doubt hoping that the West, especially the EU, wouldn’t be interested in the conflict and would continue doing business as usual with Russia.
It looks to me like Russia has decided to go in all when folding would be the right decision.
All of this while the US decided it is best to squabble about supporting or not Ukraine.
They need to get the orange guy and his cronies behind bars and start pulling their weight in international policy.
