    So they didn’t actually need to make her redundant from a business perspective, they had achieved the desired number of redundancies on a voluntary basis. The redundancy was just a way to avoid unilaterally changing her employment contract (and opening up a claim for constructive dismissal for breach of contract if she then resigned).

  2. Companies just want to focus on business but they’re pulled in all different direction by equality laws forcing them to be in the social care business too. Who is the “boss” nowadays is getting harder to work out!
