To a lot of people it sounds like an attack on diversity/ difference but what Suella meant was parallel societies and value systems where for example women are discouraged from working or told how to dress, or groups call for violence against blasphemers in Britain.
Around half of British Pakistani marriages are between first cousins, this can’t be a good thing.
She’s probably only upset she didn’t make that statement first rather than an actual disagreement.
Of course it’s just more attention seeking.
Tories are all talk and no action when it comes to immigration. Paying lip service to their right wing base about reducing it- but with no intention of ever doing so.

Patel was poisonous but in a less stupid way than Braverman. The latter is so out of touch that she thinks attacking Elton John for suggesting LGBT refugees should be treated with compassion is somehow a vote winner. As if a long standing gay rights activist isn’t allowed to have an opinion on gay rights and as if the most adverse mainstream response to John wouldn’t be “well of course he thinks that.”
I don’t know who she thinks this kind of nonsense appeals to who isn’t voting Tory already.
