Russians destroyed the last mural in Mariupol. It portrayed a woman w an empty cage, celebrating all those who have broken a vicious circle of home violence & started a new life. Nothing “ideological” or history-related.

1. This breaks my heart and strengthens my resolve to support Ukraine until all victory conditions have been met.

2. I would argue that Ukraine is in the process of breaking free of an violent and abusive relationship with Russia, so from a russian point of view that is ofcourse unacceptable.

    It makes total sense that the Kremlin would want to destroy such a beautiful and effective piece of art. It is exactly the kind of ideology they fear.

11. Actually you can kind of still see the women behind the ugly ass cover color. I hope the mural can be restored some day, what a pity.
