When I travel around Europe, I keep the most “unique” coins I receive as change. I’ve collected about €300 in coins so far. Do you think they could have value as a collection in the future?
I used to find it so interesting that all member states have their own coin designs. I collected a bunch of them whenever I found some new ones that I hadn’t seen before. But in the end, after years of the euro being in circulation, the variety became more mixed so I guess it lost its appeal. They’re all just the same now and I stopped caring about collecting them.

maybe but probably not most expensive coins have pretty low amount of minted coins while these get churned out by the million
If you don’t need them I’ll take em
I’d say their value will be about €1
Which will be about £1 soon
They already have extra value I think.
I collect a few unique ones like you, that were limited. The common ones I’m not really collecting, but if my set of unique ones grows, I can always do them later, since I doubt the common ones will dissapear anytime soon.
Recently noticed I got more shiny dutch euro coins at a shop that were made in 2023, started putting the shiniest ones aside, having a whole collection of 1 set in shiny condition is pretty cool
I still have a whole bag from when I lived in Latvia in 2020.
If anyone else is interested in Euro coins, there is the aptly named /r/eurocoins subreddit.
Oh yeah me too I usually keep the more “foreign” ones and the ones made for special occasions and anniversaries or commemorative
Some designs there I had not seen before.
I used to collect them when they were first introduced twenty years ago.
Then I spent them 😅

If they were in circulation they’re probably just their value. Valuable ones are usually still in their box and don’t get in circulation. But maybe you can do more researches on the ones you have.
Unless you collect entire sets I don’t think the coins will become worth more over time. I used to collect them too but the last few years I hardly use cash anymore.
Yes, I believe they will cost about 300€ in just a few years
Just euros, no cents, thank you.
This kind of collection is unsustainable unfortunately. Every year they stamp new unique designs so many different EU countries, so I can’t collect them all.
Probably not but cool if you like them. I would put them inside coin flips if you want to store them for collection.
You have that one for covid doctors too. What a way to thank doctors for their service, almost a bad joke.
Their value will be what the euro is worth on that day.
I also collecting euros. Unfortunately, my collection disappears every month.
Me
I did when Euro started, I even got something to put them in [https://imgur.com/a/uG85Yee](https://imgur.com/a/uG85Yee)
Last time I was in holiday in the Euro zone (Barcelona) I don’t think I used cash for anything.
I do collect too. The craziest find is the vatican euro coins. I found two or three times in circulation. I work at a register and it is easy to spot
Fake 2 EUR
I haven’t seen a coin in months so… not me
Everyone who lives in EuroZone
ehm… everyone in a euro compatible country?
They’re worth at least three hundred Euros.
You can probably sell them to dumb Americans for two dollars a coin.

But I’ll take them all for a crisp, new $10 bill.
