I moved recently to Norway and I rented out an apartment that has wall finish that I haven’t encountered before. It wouldn’t be an issue if it wasn’t damaged (as seen on the photos).
What type of wall finish is this? How do I go about fixing these damaged patches of wall surface? I thought about painting it over but it seems like that won’t help much as the finish has glossy texture that’s unknown to me. All tips are appreciated.

Glass fiber. Meant to be painted. Talk to a paint shop to get the correct paint type.
