    THE SLINGER PHILOSOPHY
    The Slinger counter-drone system draws
inspiration from the historical Slinger soldier,
renowned for their remarkable precision in
launching small stones to defeat enemy soldiers
from a distance. Just as the ancient Slinger
provided accurate long-range firepower using a
lightweight and affordable weapon, the Slinger
system effectively counters the modern threat of
drone attacks with a single, precise shot of lethal
    force.

    Key Features

High precision weapon platform weighing less
    than 400 kg
    • Fully stabilized for on the move operation
    • Exquisite pointing technology for extreme
    accuracy
    • Fourth-axis sighting system with sensor unit that
moves independently of the gun in both elevation
    and azimuth
    • Bushmaster M230LF 30x113mm cannon
    • Lightweight 30mm Proximity Sensing Ammunition
with radio frequency proximity fuzed, high
    explosive, fragmentation round
    • Echodyne ultra-low size, weight, and power
(SWaP) 4D targeting radar with active
    beamsteering ESA
    • Wind sensor

    SLINGER
    COUNTER-DRONE LETHALITY
The Slinger is an Australian-made counter-drone
engagement system designed and developed to
meet contemporary and emerging threats based on
lessons learned in contemporary conflict regions,
such as Ukraine. The system incorporates a radar,
30mm cannon with specially designed ammunition,
and EOS proprietary stabilisation and pointing
    technology for counter-drone operations. The
system is capable of tracking and engaging moving
drones beyond 800m, with unique ammunition
making it suitable for use in built-up environments

  2. This is fantastic. And it’s an adaptation of what the company already does.

    Excerpt from the article:

    >The company’s **defence products are a direct link to its origins in the space business.  EOS monitors objects as small as a 10-cent piece orbiting up to 36,000 kilometres above the Earth.**
    >
    >That technology translates directly into targeting fast-moving small objects – like drones.
    >
    >”What we’re really doing here is **we’re using the tracking, we’re using the stabilisation algorithms we’ve used to develop for deep space tracking**,” said Mr Jones.

10 scheduled by “end of year”. They can’t come soon enough.
