    The longer it takes to get to net zero, the more extreme the impacts of climate change. The greater the economic shock from climate-related disruption and the greater the cost of adaptation. That greater cost will have to be borne over a shorter period (exacerbating inflationary pressures). And the people who will be most severely impacted will inevitably be those who are least able to afford it.

    Delaying action is a completely false economy.
