i just stumbled upon the children’s choir of the netherlands – kinderen voor kinderen a few days ago. and i must say that never in my entire life have i ever seen or heard a country with a children’s choir *that* good – one that comes up with 12-13 catchy and actually good songs per year, producing an album and mvs with really good choreography – some of which have themes to kid events/themes like nationalebuitenspeeldag, children’s book week (kinderboekenweek) and the king’s games (koningspelen). and the fact that they even produced (and are still producing) vlogs like behind-the-scenes vlogs, tv programmes on [zapp.nl](https://zapp.nl), and even have their own presenter and producer.
what struck me most about kinderen voor kinderen is that these songs often send off positive messages to children and some of them bring awareness to important themes like bullying, children in need, memorial day and many more to educate kids in the netherlands about them through song. and i think kinderen voor kinderen has done an amazing job doing so (i’m not dutch, so i google translate the lyrics) and they actually hold a lot of meaning.
no offense to those who like kidz bop – to me kidz bop songs sound repetitive and lowkey boring. and these usually are remakes of existing pop songs, whose remakes are, most of the time, not that great. kvk is on another level, y’all are blessed to grow up with bops like these (and even up til now i see why songs like bewegen is gezond, hupsakee, raar maar waar, okido etc will never get old for y’all)

Their best song was “[Het Tietenlied](https://youtu.be/90BnU4CRUSI?feature=shared)” (The Boobsong). Very powerfull.
