Unfortunately, I am familiar with this case. The man admitted to 1 victim but was forced to plead guilty by his family to avoid a trail.
2 other victims were abused by their father, who killed himself when they told him they’ll go to the Gardai, and they got their justice by going after the other monster, his brother. Their father abused them and his nieces, one of whom I know very well, hence details. She never got justice and only started remembering her childhood after years of therapy, the brain blocked parts of the abuse, the worst parts to protect her.
Shockingly, despite being aware of the ongoing abuse, the two victims chose to protect their reputation instead of reporting their father to the authorities, allowing him to abuse another member of the family at a later stage. This is truly disheartening and unacceptable.
