  1. Obviously the airlines will just build those fees into the fares, but at least they won’t be able to advertise spurious prices any more.

  2. Sure, we won’t end up paying them in any other way or shape…

  3. They might evolve the pricing in some other way.y rules, unfortunately, need to be as specific as possible for these corps.

  4. I hope Ryan air cry about this losing them money as much as they do everything else

  5. The problem is not the fee for the hand baggage, the problem is that when you search for cheap flights you only see the price with a small bag only, which is completely unrealistic. What most pisses me off is that most (all?) airlines have now adopted this model (which in the very beginning was only a couple of low cost airlines). So you don’t get realistic flight searches anymore.

I get it that this vote will, in theory, raise the minimum price. In practice it will only force them to advertise the true price of a trip.

  6. The cabin bag fee is the part of the reason why Ryanair and other cheap airlines are so cheap and I don’t think they are trying to hide there is a fee, they state it on every step of your ticket buying process. I would rather see EU regulation for assigning a seat near you when you are traveling with a child. Obviously you must pay for seat reservation to travel next to your child.

Also the carry-on bags and the cabin bags mean different things. The article seems to use it interchangeably.

    >The new resolution recommends enforcing this ruling to get rid of extra charges for **carry-on bags.**

Even Ryanair have carry-on bags included with all the tickets. I don’t think there are airlines that have fee on carry on bag.

    >The potential ban on **cabin bag fees** is part of a wider drive to simplify ticketing and fees for air travel across the EU.

now it says cabin bag fees
