  1. I heard the bang thought it was lightning. Nope, giant explosion. Wonder if it’s a gas leak?

  2. Looks like it might be an anaerobic digestion waste plant where they are turning food waste into (highly explosive) bio-methane.

https://www.stgreenpower.co.uk/ – maybe hit by lightning causing the explosion?

  3. Seems to be a possible gas explosion in the Yarnton area. ~~Several flats destroyed, some people missing.~~

Edit: Correction it looks to be at a recycling facility with an anaerobic digester.

Severn Trent Green Power can confirm that at around 19:20 this evening, a digester tank at its Cassington AD facility near Yarnton, Oxfordshire, was struck by lightning resulting in the biogas within that tank igniting,” the statement revealed.

  4. I really hope it isn’t Boris Johnson’s house going up in flames?

  5. I heard the explosion in Haslemere at about 4:30. It was awesome.

  6. That’s what they want you to think it is lighting but it’s not… /s
