  1. Photo ops and so international community can throw up their hands and say “Look we went. Nothing more we can do”

I fear for Syunik and Armenia in the coming years. I hope I’m wrong

  2. disclaimer: i am pro azerbaijan

the last 2 days i have seen a huge shift in rhetoric in this sub, i think its mainly targeted by russian bot farms to frame a narrative

people should understand that the goverment in armenia and the government in NK (artsakh) are different, armenia went trough a velvet revolution in 2018 after wich a pro western actor got elected

after the 2020 war, the NK government was still fully russia aligned, and the government in armenia actually disliked this government, the NK government brought in ruben vardanyan, who was targeted with sanctions but got away by signing away his russian passport and left for NK, he is extremely antogonistic and threathened any armenian who holds a dialogue with azerbaijan to get executed, lachin corridor gets closed and after much pressure he goes to the shadows

at this point, you can only make assumptions, but the largely accepted rumours are that in september, the head of NKs government, arayik resigned by russian pressure after the armenian government finally convinced him of talking to the west, he immediately caves in and a new election is held that is fully pro russia and friends with ruben vardanyan, the world condems this, and 2 weeks later the operation by azerbaijan begins

i think that is the main reason why nobody really gave a fuck about azerbaijans operation last week, the west probably got tired of trying to help them for months and the moment they can actually talk to the leaders in NK they gave in to pressure to russia, its akin to sargysan talking for years to the EU and when close comically a day later he joins the russian economic union

people need to understand that armenias government since 2018 has done nothing but to shift to the west and the NK regime aligned to russia was a complete failure, alijev actually complimented pashinyan and his rational stance when the conflict ended

the shift last 2 days was fascinating, as much as i enjoy armenians having mental breakdowns and accusing redditors of being genocide accomplices by not helping them, some things need to be understood

    1. its vital to support pashinyan and his armenian government

    2. this sub needs to understand the armenian government and the NK government are seperate and that the armenian government disliked the NK government who was fully russia aligned

    3. an understand needs to be made that the vast majority of these opinions and even the ones you read on reddit that you are genocide accomplices, are braindead diaspora but just cry and scream sanctions with 0 understanding of how the world works and even the government in NK, the armenian government is not pushing this narrative, its (paid) actors by diaspora

again, as much as i really, really enjoy armenians having mental breakdowns over imaginary reddit points after years of pushing lies and propaganda, i believe there is an element to obfuscate the fact that armenias government itself has been mainly a rational actor that had no influence on the NK government and actively disliked this one, while these diasporas are extremely annoying, hypocritical and delusional, i believe some actors want to bully and push a narrative in a way that pashinyan and armenias government is fully pro russia

yes, its comical that armenians are crying that russians are not supporting them anymore after 30 years of occupation

but try to differentiate diaspora, the NK government and the armenian government, its vital that their government now would not be pushed back to russia

who knows after years i would be defending armenia on r/europe!!
