We’ve been travelling to Norway with our small campervan a lot the last few years and it has definitely become one of our favorite places on this planet. On our last trip (during peak season) we noticed it can get pretty busy with tourists and people interpreting the rules on camping as they like. It has caused many problems and frustrations in recent years and as a result the freedom that Scandinavia normally has to offer may become increasingly limited in the future. We hope it doesn’t have to get to that point if we all take responsibility by taking each other into account, using our common sense and following local laws. That is why we have written this article about the rules and what else is good to pay attention to, based on local websites and tips from friends who live there. By posting it here we hope to be of value to people planning to visit Norway and looking for feedback from those who live there.
