  1. What is it going to take to keep our stuff out of their country? Do we have to implement a full embargo and block all of their ports?

  2. I think this is just the reality of how the world works. Completely starving Russia of any access to foreign technology or manufactured components were never realistic. Russia got an enormous border and there’s no shortage of smugglers; state sanctioned or otherwise.

    Just look at North Korea. One of the most isolated nations in the world and even they seem to get hold of sanctioned goods with some regularity.

  3. How often do we get this kind of “revelations”. Generally, this stuff are off the shelf civilian components that are available anywhere in the world and not subject to export controls.

    The US built the first generation Tomahawk in 1972. 50 years old technologies are good enough to make good enough missiles.
