  1. Was recently looking into this and the data around cancer rates requires a lot of context that’s not necessarily given on its own.

    – Cancer diagnosis rates have risen massively over the past few decades, while deaths have more or less been flat (or slightly declining)

    – While environmental factors play a part in the rise of cancer, if you look at the death rate & diagnosis rate, another explanation is that more cancer that wouldn’t kill you is being diagnosed.
