There never was a good reason to eat there. And this hasn’t helped their cause any.
Parent company owns Tim Hortons doesn’t it? Another reason to avoid Tim’s.
How do we know they didn’t leave and the locals just co-opted the name to keep it going?

>David Shear, RBI’s president, said in March 2022 that Burger King’s main operator in Russia had “refused” to shut the outlets following the first attacks on Ukraine.
I want to clearly point out several types of posts that will come in a shotgun effect from various accounts on the same topics ranging from Exaggerated Ukrainian losses, USA support for Ukraine growing tired, and things about why the sanctions aren’t working.
As well as other topics.
This is Russian propaganda. Plain and simple.
I rarely eat there anyway, but that’s going to go to zero.
Fuck the bk. Down with the king!
Shut them down, they are there for the money, not patriotism, and their food is not good
I feel bad for the Russian people. That shit is pure food poisoning
Well Burger King sucks anyways, and only insane people think their propanesmelling shitty burgers taste good.
Here in the UK Burger King is a disgrace, staff have no respect for the name and in one of the most beautiful stand alone burger Kings near the lake district it feels not like entering a major brand but a food delivery nightmare. The two tables have stunning views, out of dirty windows, a line of cheap chairs to sit on for delivery drivers waiting for their food to deliver. I used to love BK, but now now find, after experimenting that even mcdonald’s preservative nightmare has far better quality burgers, which was not the case a few years ago. BK are so very easy to boycott.
Never knew this. I never really rated them tbh but all the more reason to boycott them.
Burger King is garbage and will make them fat and lazy. It should stay in russia and leave North America.
From what I understand all the big franchises are still operating over there, just without the full support of corporate. I don’t think there’s much the parent companies can really do, at the end of the day once you get to the store level they are owned and operated by Russians.
Do people expect to see footage of Marines smashing fryers and grills with a sledgehammer like they did to Humvees on the way out of Afghanistan?
Apparently BK have it their way
If it’s the same article I’m thinking of, it states that BK own 15% of the company or rights that operate there, so they can’t overrule the other 85%, hence they’re still operating.
It’s outside of BK’s control from what I can tell
I call it Booger king, like booklet flipper’s communication is so important
Huh. They have around 170 spots in my country and fixing to open another one in my hometown. Another brand to boycott (their food sucks anyway)
I think this is actually a punishment for the Russians
Good on you BK. Providing your food to one of the few places on earth that actually deserves to be punished with it.
What do you want them to do? Russia doesn’t need anything from BK. Most regional fast food franchises have their own isolated production chains that work with their locale.
– BK: Russia, shut down and stop.
– Russia: “make me”
– Reddit: OoOoOoOoo… BK so bad… It’s all their fault. They should *::checks notes::* drop corporate paratroopers on every burger king in Moscow and shut them down?
Their food sucks anyways.
Good thing no one eats there anymore
I’m one of the few people I know who prefer Burger King to the other greasy alternatives, but that’s it, they are dead to me.
Alright, it’s time to give BK that Bud-light style treatment.
In Australia, BK is known as Hungry Jack’s and an Australian company is the soul master franchisee in Australia – I hope that makes it okay to eat the burgers – much preferred to Macca’s – “the burgers are better at Hungry Jack’s”!
Home of the Whopper u cut. keep your pink slime f’n gross bro. Pooty cuk. Do better.
I wonder how much a whopper costs now with inflation there.
