There’s a very clear line of propaganda being feed to the Russian people ahead of the 2024 Russian elections trying to show the Russian people how badly the US (and European) governments are working, and using the idea of free elections where politicians cater to what people want as being inherently bad. The message is very clear – Russians need to accept an authoritarian government because the alternative is terrible.
Russia is likely helping these MAGA types get elected, and it ultimately helps them not just in pro-Russian voices in US politics, but more fodder for the Russian media to mock the US government.

Thing is…all this was his thing in the 90s. He brought this style of obstructionism and contrarianism to the Speakership, and he was the brainchild (or one of them anyway) of No-bama in 2008/9.
Now that the practice has matured and is approaching it’s zenith, he’s upset that it’s being used. That, or he’s upset that he can’t be the one to use it, I’m not sure which.
