  1. Fucking Belgians and their obsession with unethically sourced rocks. Watch your drink around them or you’ll wake up without your family jewels. I’ve heard they teach their children to be naughty just to get their hands on Santa’s coal, the absolute scoundrels.

  2. Good. Someone going to a historic ruin, and taking a very obviously carved marble shouldnt be able to play the ignorance card. Malicious destruction of historic artifacts should be punished properly.

Wish they cracked down on idiots damaging hagia sofia the same way.

  3. When italians punish tourists for stealing rocks is fine but when Turkey does it, it’s stupid

I love how biased this sub is

  4. I can understand the confusion when I see the first picture but the second? That’s man made, that’s not a random rock on the ground.

  5. Were we supposed to send them off with flowers for stealing historical artifacts?

  6. I thought they had bought them, in which case I could see the “we had no idea”, but literally collecting them at an ancient ruin? They had to know, it’s marble and a beautifully carved rosetta.

  7. Well it IS smuggling.

I hope tourists will learn to be respectful towards the host country they visit.

  8. Why is put it in parentheses? These massive idiots did the smuggling
