As someone who flies frequently, I’m always annoyed when some “budget” airline flights pop up on top of my search results promising to get me somewhere for 50€, to then slap 50€ onto that when wanting to bring more luggage than a handbag.
That flight should be 100€, and appear among other flights that cost 100€.
And if your argument is that you’re among the 1% that can manage to fly so minimalistic to actually only use the basic fare – well, tough. Hand luggage used to be standard not so long ago, as it should be.
Though I’d be happy if they introduce a “no hand luggage” option that makes a ticket cheaper than the new basic price. i.e. in my example the basic ticket would be 100€, but click “no hand luggage”, and you get a -50€ on price. That feels like the best of two worlds.
Airlines: Please help us with funds and subsidies to not get hurt too much by the pandemic.
