I’ve seen the email as posted originally on twitter. I’d want to see the email exchange in its chain.
Not to try and excuse any racism via “context”, rather when I looked at the snip originally shared on twitter, there was quite obvious artifacting around the snipped text.
It may very well be simply due to the manner of how it was snipped and shared, but I’d like to be certain of the facts before I grab my pitchfork.
It is abhorrent behaviour if true and accurate.

I notice the email doesn’t say who the reply is from, only the person that sent it. MU can easily investigate as all staff/student accounts are adminned by IT. Grain of salt and all that until more facts come to light.
