Biden is so unpopular even the majority of democrats don’t want him to run for reelection.
This bad idea is a good example of why .
He has nothing to gain by doing this whatsoever and more credibility to lose . .
if he messes up reading the teleprompter , has a major gaffe, falls walking up on stage , or goes off script and says something stupid . He’s just proving his critics right that’s he too old for the job
A sold majority of congress, well over 70% , are already on Ukraines side . .
The maga freaks and the libertarian isolationist wing of the republican party won’t change their mind about Ukraine if hell freezes over . Trying to sway them about anything is a waste of time .
This is a beyond dumb move, there’s no public political capital to gain here, and he may well make a fool of himself, again . And by extension end up hurting Ukraines cause.as well as his own .
.
.
When is soon? Today?
Thanks for sharing! This is interesting. While I’m very glad Biden has done a lot to support Ukraine, I don’t think he’s done a good job of making the case to the American people.
We here in this Reddit sub are people who keep up with Ukraine news, but the average American isn’t keeping up as closely as we are. At the beginning of the full-scale war, everyone was paying attention and everyone was shocked and horrified and felt sorry for Ukraine. Now all this time has passed, and for the average person who is not paying attention, it may seem like both russia and Ukraine are choosing to drag the war on and on and both sides should just hurry up and do a peace deal. A peace deal sounds like a good idea to someone who doesn’t fully understand this situation.
I’m interested in watching Biden’s speech because I’m hoping he’ll clearly and strongly make the case to the American people. I hope this is a really good speech!
