We went on a guided bear watching tour in the Hight Tatra Mountains in Slovakia. It Is the start of our Journey leading further east on our quest on Circumnavigating the world. Bears are incredible animals and we never managed to see them in their natural Habitat. So we went to Slovakia in an Area where they are quite common, to change this. Wildlife watching is not like walking into a Zoo and you never have a guarantee to see anything, but with an experienced guide and the right equipment, a lot is possible. I want to advise you to only book wildlife tours with people who care about nature and the animals. Please don’t go on tours where animals are lured with food or cornered or chased. These animals are wild and they should stay wild and also unharmed. Always keep distance to wildlife to don’t stress them.
