I’ve come to be disgusted at nearly half of my country. How anyone can follow these looneys on the far right are utterly beyond me. The same people who rail against the “socialism” of the far left, gladly embrace a man cuckhold to the biggest fascist/communist of our time. Shit, it makes me sick.

First of all I support Ukraines efforts. Good old Joe Biden and the military is going to say this. They have enough money for right now to support Ukraine. This is so typical of any government or private entity. When there is any chance of a reduction in funding, people shout the sky is falling. I used this same tactic when I worked in a fortune 100 company. If Joe wants the money he might have to compromise.
Any loses Ukraine suffers in the next couple weeks will be blamed on this, even though it’s too soon for it to have any effect.
I thought they had $5b
I’m glad he is planning on delivering an address about the importance of aiding Ukraine. It’s long overdue, and I’m puzzled as to why the administration has waited this long to do so. Better late than never though
Time for Europe to start paying more
Getting tired of the hypocacy on this site blaming the USA for Ukraines woes versus EU when this just a European (Non-Nato) war.
Facts — Total bilateral aid commitments to Ukraine between January 24, 2022 and May 31, 2023, by type and country or organization:
USA total – 70.7 billion value in Euros
EU Institutions total – 35.05 billion E (just 1/2 of total USA aid)
UK Total – 10.74B E
Japan – 6.62B E
Canada – 5.27B E
This is what is turning some Republicans off, EU has a GDP greater than the USA, yet the USA has to pay the lion’s share. Get the EU to double its aid, then you can belly ache about the USA.
Again, so many people here said “GOP supports Ukraine, it’s just bad applea” amd “congress.cant stop the funding anyway”
All completely wrong.
If you support Ukraine, you need to vote out GOP politicians.
