Okay, how hard is that? It sucks that this a problem. The world is amazingly good at making ammo and weapons of destruction. Let’s fucking just make waaaay more?
Would have been nice if they hadnt made this public, and continued to source it as best they can.
This only helps russia make plans to get Ukraine to waste it on meatwaves, or hold areas longer than they would have, if they hadnt known of the ammo shortage.
The west better decide if they want to continue supporting Ukraine, they will absolutely have to find the ammo for them. Otherwise might as well pack it in and give up, which is pretty unthinkable by now.
Either way, this is a problem they should have seen a mile away, and solved before it became an issue. I know you cant ramp up ammo production quickly or easily, and they probably didnt expect the war to go this long, but by now western governments should realize russia won’t give up until one side is destroyed. We are in it for the long haul and we have known this for many months.
