  1. Well… some people are less brave than others. War is scary stuff. Those who don’t dodge are the true heroes, though.

  2. Color me surprised, that people are scared to go to war… every country has their share of draft dodgers when wars pop up. Heck, the ruzzians had 500-700k people leave their country to avoid conscription. ruzzia is probably the world’s leader in cowards leaving rather than than fighting. They cornered the market in that shit. If half those people had balls, they could probably get their country back on track with a revolution. Instead they’re in a hurry to hide away in countries where they aren’t wanted in the slightest. Putin wants them though, straight in the meat grinder.

  3. Well, they definitely need to enforce the draft evenly and not allow privileged people to wide step it. But probably they won’t.

It’s certainly easy to understand wanting to dodge the draft. The war is terrifying. You might die. Your death might not change the thing. Worse things might happen, which I’m sure also scares a lot of people.

There are downsides. Potential shame or embarrassment, and possible conflicted feelings. Plus others still have to go while you do not.

I think it is hard to judge from the outside looking in, but I certainly understand if Ukraine would apply legal consequences to people who do it.

  4. 10 unmotivated soldiers are worse than 1 motivated. Unless you need cannon fodder. You need to thrust your combat brothers. I’ve talked with some who ran out of Ukraine and they even didnt hide it that they will die, because they dont know how to fight and they dont want to fight.

  5. Yeah, there are people who are scared.

I think Ukraine deals with them in ok fashion – doesn’t send people to penal battalions to die but shames.

I am not sure that’s the best way to deal with it, but better then killing people who are afraid.

  6. Freedom comes at a price and it’s a price all must bare. For those who dodge it, they will pay a price when they return.

  7. Some people just aren’t cut out for it. If my country was invaded I’d sure as hell run.

  8. Can’t say i blame anyone for not wanting to go to war.

  9. Kinda feel the same way about them as I do about Russian draft dodgers. Glad they were able to avoid the meat grinder. There’s no glory in the trenches when the people up stairs start throwing lives around to prove points.

  10. Every war has its dodgers it is society overtime is here they will be judged
