  1. Lol. This is no the daily show. It’s a highly replaceable job.

  2. I like how there are still trolls like Survivor0512 trying to spin the strike a week after the writers won the best deal in modern entertainment history.

  3. You’re out there, Beer Baron. I will find you…..

  4. How can she expect to sympathize with writers and talent, not like she comes from a 100 year legacy line of family actors.

  5. Oh darn. I won’t get to see the show that I was only able to tolerate for about 5 minutes before making me want to kick the screen

  6. The Barrymore family is basically Hollywood Royalty. She really should have known better.

  7. I don’t get the hate. Drew is all heart. She made a mistake and apologized.

  8. That’s fine. She can get new ones. No
    one is irreplaceable.

  9. Can someone legit help me out. I don’t understand why talkshow hosts need writers …?!?!?

  10. Gotta love all the people insulting the writers while also praising them. You know the people with “integrity” were the same ones writing her “awful” show right?

  11. i’m sorry i can’t be against her being that other shows were either planning to come back (The Talk) or never stopped airing (The View) but she was the one that got all the shit. another example of people just piling on for the thrill of it. and unless the networks were paying the other out of work staff i don’t see a reason why they should have to suffer if this has gone on for a certain amount of time and they’re able to do the show

  12. I’m sure new writers will step up and nobody will care about this in six months.

  13. Good to know that all those poor writers can afford to go on strike for five months then quit their jobs the next day.

The show wasn’t breaking any WGA rules, but she was still a scab, apparently, and fucked over all their supposed “co-workers” that weren’t on strike and couldn’t afford to pay rent. The bully boy tactics of this union is astounding. “Here are the rules, but we’re going to move the goalposts however we see fit if we deem that you are scabbing, whether you are or not!”

    Screw those writers. Easily replaced.

  14. Writers aside, Drew Barrymore is quite insufferable. I think her older work has merit, but her recent ventures are questionable at best.

  15. I still don’t understand why she was singled out over the other crappy daytime shows that were taping like The View and Kelly and Mark (and the D-list actors who appeared on those shows), but, also, I don’t care. I think she probably has the best sad face and that’s what they were going for, they knew she’d actually crack, whereas the rest would just ignore any criticism.
