I did preorder Assassin’s Creed Mirage (Xbox edition), and now they are telling me it’s normal that I will not receive it at launch day. (Screenshot in Dutch).

It’s even more funny/sad that’s it is the “launch edition” of the game. 🙄

  6. Why on earth would you pre-order a game? No wonder the gaming industry has become such a farce where maximizing monetization has priority over gameplay and quality.

  7. Assuming you bought your game online, you have a 14 day period where you can send your purchase back and they have to refund.

    – Digital product: 14 days starts after the purchase (eg ebook)

    – Phsyical product: 14 days starts after receiving it (eg regular book)

    Also: don’t preorder.

  8. Had a similar problem with a pre-order of a limited-edition vinyl. Release date rolls around: not a peep. And then a week later, they just cancel the order and refund me.

    Thing with limited-edition pre-orders: they’re hard to get if you didn’t pre-order them. I did manage to find it on Amazon for about €20 more than the original price luckily, but I could have saved that €20 if I pre-ordered it somewhere else…

  10. I once preordered season 3 of westworld on blu ray at bol.com and they delivered immediately on release and even refunded part of the price because it turned out to be cheaper than expected and i didn’t have to do a thing about it. Very good experience
