  1. So much for small government.

Its 1 lectern, Michael. what could it cost, $19,000?

  2. What the huck! More wild fiscal irresponsibility from the magas.

  3. All my furniture from Ikea apparently looks better than what 19k gets you in Arkansas.

  4. Like, actual cost ~$400.

Where the remaining $18,600 got money laundered to, who knows.

  5. > we don’t know whether this is a case of they’re too incompetent to be trusted with a state credit card because they don’t know what things should cost, or there’s actual criminality

  6. Ditch the Avocado Toast and get something from Wayfair instead

  7. Way to go Sarah, your true republicanism coming through!

  8. That $19K could have been spent so much better. Like for a new wardrobe for Sarah. Or perhaps counseling to help her understand where all of her anger comes from.

  9. that thing is so hideous who would spend any amount of money on it 💀

  10. That lectern cost almost a years worth of the Arkansas minimum wage.

  11. A lectern with a mic is $1200 from Uline.

And I say Uline knowing its owner is a right wing nutjob, so it would be on brand.

  12. So we should expect a “No audits allowed” bill or some shit from her office by noon today?

  13. The republicans used to claim to be “ fiscally responsible “. Now they don’t espouse to being for anything but making money and staying in power, so that they can impose their extreme positions on curbing human rights, over us all.

  14. Wait, I thought she signed something that said no one could look into her spending?

  15. Didn’t some of her state’s child laborers construct this thing?

  16. That is a vagina in the wood grain on the front and you ain’t changing my mind.

  17. Rich white politically tied American woman with generational wealth – not only will she escape penalty free, she just assured her place on a GOP lobbyist board of directors (starting salary 1.5 million plus perks). Oh and I heard she is getting calls from lectern companies to be the new spokescaveperson.

  18. It better provide her with some services for that cost.

  19. Thank you, AP News. This is indeed a lectern, not a podium.

  20. How’s that saying go, that I had to hear every single day for like three years straight?…

    Oh yeah!

    ***”Lock her up!”***

  21. 😂 didn’t she just sign the law saying that y’all can’t ask questions about her spending? Which for any kind of Republican should be an enormous red flag to everyone, but apparently not in Arkansas.

  22. A legitimate corruption investigation of Republicans in a Red state would result in every Republican in the state being in prison. Red State voters demand that their Republicans be openly, brazenly, shockingly corrupt. To them it means they are being “Transparent” and can be trusted.
