What does this red slide do?

  1. It’s to set a maximum (or minimum) temperature.

    It’s not doing much if it’s set at 5 as 5 is the maximum anyway. But you can slide it off and put it back on at another setting, I usually have mine at 3. If the indicator is pushed up completely you can’t turn it any higher than 3, if you push it down a bit (away from the numbers) you can turn the heating knob to a higher setting.

  2. It locks it at the setting, so little fingers can’t tamper with it when you’re not looking.

  3. You’re a rich guy? Why is it at 5!? It makes the room not warm faster, its the temperature what u set…
