Fun fact that nobody asked for: Looza and Loonse stroop are the only “modern” references to the county of Loon that survived, all the rest either got replaced by Liège (like sirop de Liège) or Limburg (like Limburgse vlaai). The name Looza comes from 1820, when the name Limburg had only been used for 5 years to refer to our region and it was more natural for the producers of our beloved juice to still use the old name of Looz/Loon!
