So I’ve been studying in Germany for a year now, and just got offered a job as a tour guide. Only problem is that it is a freelance position, and I’m not sure how that works from a) a tax perspective and b) if it will impact my status as a student (e.g the “520 euro limit”/minijob limit that everyone talks about), student health insurance (I am with TK) etc. I am an EU citizen so doesn’t impact my visa obviously.
I’ve seen a few different services that seem to help with filing taxes- [https://en.getsorted.de/](https://en.getsorted.de/) this one seems like the best (?) I don’t speak German so ELSTER is not really an option for me.
A few questions: how do I go about registering as a freelancer (considering I don’t speak German)
\- Will being a freelancer impact my student benefits at all?
\- What is the limit in income that I can earn, and is it yearly/monthly (i.e I probably will earn more than €520 during semester breaks etc when I work more, but I will earn 0 during the winter period when the tour guide company doesn’t do any tours)
\- Is it possible to work a regular minijob in tandem with freelance work?

Any help much appreciated!
