Crown prosecutors are always afraid to tangle with the police unions so they don’t ever bother following through on charges. Its ridiculous.

I don’t get how I’m supposed to ever trust the police at all when stories like this seem to happen all the time.
I always wondered about this “private prosecution” stuff in Canada. That shit was eliminated in USA over a hundred years ago. The state are the prosecutors. Nobody else. So how is this still working in Canada?
