I do not care that it’s not Christmas. Your tradition is not sacred to me, these are delicious and have been made into a cold weather treat. Santa or not. It snows this coming week. The little Torttu are for my 1v toddler, the normal ones are for the adults to gorge on. 💜❤️

  3. Personally I think the torttus look better when the prune jam is put first and then the pastry is folded on top, but there are different schools of thought on that.

    Also, if you want to make a saltier treat then you could add a slice of ham and then a slice of your preferred cheese on top of the pastry (ham first as it’ll hold some of the melting cheese from getting away), then cut the corners on each of those as usual and then fold up as you’ve done with these. Adding a blob of blue cheese in the middle isn’t unheard of (if it matches with your other cheese). They do look really nice and taste even better.
