As per title, seems to happen every time in one way or another with Iams.

  1. SHEER FORCE OF WILL.

    Or scissors. They both work.

  2. Cut the thing open and pour it into a tub, my patience for resealable bags is next to zero.

  3. Respect for trying it do it right. Must be a tough job to do with your little paws, right?

  4. I use a food tin, can get them at Tesco for like £5, comes with a scoop too! So much easier than using tho use fallible bags since rats can chew through them, the “resealable” function never seems to work, and since it won’t seal it floods the cupboard with the stench of dry tuna.

  5. Tie it to the back of the car so it drags along and keep an eye on the rear view mirror to see when the trail starts.

  6. I often get a knife then cut it open and pour it into a container

  7. For anything like this I use scissors then transfer the contents.

  8. Cut was fine, the resealable part always seems to come away from the bag.

Thanks for the decant suggestions, will give that a try.

  9. Cats will find a way. We had a new bag hidden away in the garage. Cat snuck in without us spotting and got locked in. Hours later we’re wondering where he is and go out to check the garage. We found him passed out on the floor next to the now split open bag of biscuits that he had gorged himself on.

  10. This is so weird – I had this exact same issue this morning. Was in a hurry so ended up ripping down the side of the bag too

  11. Careful everyone: this could be a trick. Might be a cat posting the question.

  12. Get a large tupperware to decant into. Then you can get an appropriately sized scoop so you don’t accidentally get i to the habit of overfeeding.

It’s easy to overfeed cats as the correct amount looks like it’s not enough, and they’ll certainly act like they’re being starved.
