  1. Ukrainian special forces did indeed conduct operations in Sudan against Russia’s Wagner PMC and their local allies from the Rapid Response Force (RSF), who attempted to stage a coup in April.

This information was confirmed to Babel by sources in intelligence circles and provided with several videos. Details of the operation have not yet been disclosed.

▪️ Earlier, CNN released a story about the September attacks on RSF forces near the cities of Shambat and Khartoum. The journalists blamed them on Ukrainian special services. The use of FPV drones “in the Ukrainian style” was also characteristic. In total, the journalists counted eight drone attacks on RSF vehicles and facilities and one ground operation in the Khartoum suburb of Omdurman. There, a group of special forces stormed a building. The journalists wrote that Wagner PMC was helping the RSF with weapons, but did not mention any attacks on the Wagnerians themselves.

▪️ The DIU, commenting on this material, only mentioned Kirill Budanov’s words that “Ukraine will destroy Russian war criminals anywhere in the world, no matter where they are.”
