For those who enjoyed “Look Around You” – Which segment or sketch specifically evokes the most wry restrained chortle or deep belly laughs?

  1. We had a bootleg copy courtesy of a friend of a friend who was somehow related to the production. Must have been early 2002 as we were in a house I know we moved out of in June 02.

Sat down with a huge hangover and pressed play on this as it happened to be left in the video machine. It was the water episode.

For about two minutes I was incredibly confused about how the fuck a school chemistry video got into our uni house vhs (dude did we rob a school?) then realised it was a spoof. About 5 minutes later I laughed so hard I passed out, literally. Was quite painful actually.

    Bastards.

  2. 1st series, the scientist (Serafinowicz). Constantly scalds his hand in the water experiments. Destroys lab equipment with a gun including a test subject with laser eyes

  3. [Machadaynu](https://youtu.be/vwyuB8QKzBI)

Also, can’t find it on YouTube, but the segment where they watch dreams that had been recorded:

“What are you doing, you filthy fool? Idiot! Pidiot! Pridiot! Peroxamidiot! CABBAGE HALL IDIOT INVESTMENT FUND!”

“Where’s my pipe? You’re an embarrassment! You’ve embarrassed the pipe!”

  4. I say “At least we can fly” in my head just about every day.

  5. ‘An enormous pair of scissors has appeared in the sky directly above the laboratory.’

  6. Much preferred s1 the educational series to s2 the tomorrow’s world parody.

    *How tall is Imhotep?*

  7. “Only hours after that piece was filmed, Clive Pounds sadly died from complications following a wasp sting to his anus. And so as a mark of respect, we will now observe a one second silence.”

  8. It’s just the names. Provastian Jackson, Leonard Hatred

  9. Set your calculator to “Maths”

    cDonald’s Theorem

    Computer for Women

    Synthesizer Patel

    Anti-Garry gum

    Thants.

  10. The birds of Britain sketch. “Fat, isn’t it?”

  11. We could say the same about birds. What are birds? We just don’t know.

  12. Given how famous Olivia Coleman is now, if you didn’t know better this would look like one of the celebrity gotcha cameos from Brass Eye.

  13. Every Monday and Wednesday, thousands of fans flock to see such baseball legends as TJ Nottingham, Sonny Thompson, and Xythatiops.

  14. I like the credits scene where they say that the next episode is about Italians. It’s just an Italian guy talking, and Peter’s character shrugging and not knowing what he’s saying

  15. The hand getting the egg out of the boiling beaker gets me every time.
